What to expect?

The Seychelles Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture is the sole institution dedicated to teaching and learning agriculture and horticulture in Seychelles. It occupies an area exceeding 6 hectares, strategically located at Anse a La Mouche on Mahé Island. Notably, its farm encompasses the largest expanse of land within the institutional campus.

Facilities

Livestock and Crop

The Seychelles Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture has a farm with facilities dedicated to teaching and learning about livestock, including goats, poultry, and cattle. The farm also features on-site facilities for practical crop and ornamental horticulture sessions.

Library

SIAH also has a library which fulfils the Institute’s mission by serving as a dedicated resource that promotes and enhances teaching and learning opportunities. The library is exclusively for internal users, and all members must adhere to the library’s policies and procedures. SIAH library offers a wide range of other facilities, such as internet services, printing, lamination, binding of documents and referencing.
External Users will have full access to the university library after payment of the membership fee. All external users are required to comply with the Library Policy and Procedures.

Operational Hours

The Seychelles Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture is operational from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., from Monday to Friday.
